[Women's Basketball] Sickles Earns 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Honors

Des Moines, IA - Grand View women's basketball senior Madison Sickles (SR/Cresco, Iowa) was selected to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Sickles is one of five individuals to earn the first-team honor in District 3. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.

Sickles is the only represented from the Heart of America Athletic Conference to earn this honor. Averaging 11.89 points a game, Sickles leads the Vikings with 321 points in 27 games this season. She adds 118 rebounds and 59 assists.

The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA and are divided into eight geographic districts within each across the United States and Canada.
