0 24

CHICAGO – Less than three minutes into the game with Saint Xavier University on Saturday, Jan. 19, Nic Reed (JR/New Albany, Ind.) became just the fourth player in 53 year history of Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball to reach the 2,000 point milestone. With a season and half to go in his career, he merely pencils his name in behind three Tiger greats – Zach Freeman, Tres Hodge and Aaron Larson.

Reed would end the game with a team-leading 26 points, while pulling down six rebounds and dishing out three assists to lead the Tigers to a 93-90 win over the Tigers, helping to shake things out in the CCAC standings. Prior to Saturdays competition, there were 11 teams within two games of the top of the standings. With the win, the Tigers now sit at the top tied with St. Francis with matching 9-3 records.
