KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Despite suffering a pair of losses in its Christmas break trip to Hawaii, the University of Rio Grande still managed to maintain a place in the latest NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll.
The RedStorm slipped from 20th to 25th place in the ranking announced by the national office Tuesday night.
Rio Grande received 64 points in the balloting of a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
Head coach David Smalley's club, which sports a 13-4 record overall after last Saturday's win over Indiana University Southeast, returns to action Thursday night when West Virgina University-Tech visits for a River States Conference contest.
