[Men's Basketball] Warriors Pick Up Pair of Victories at Bellevue Classic
BELLEVUE, Neb. – Midland University earned a pair of quality wins to wrap of 2018 at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Bruin Classic in nearby Bellevue, Nebraska. On Thursday afternoon the Warriors defeated host Bellevue University 87-81 and then followed it up with a 91-81 victory on Friday over Waldorf University.
The victory over the Bruins avenged an earlier two-point loss back on November 25 at home. Midland led Bellevue by five, 40-35 at the intermission and then held on for the six point win to open the classic. Malik Martin, who dropped 50 points in the first meeting, had 19 points this time around to lead a group of five Warriors in double figures. Joining him were starters Bryce Parsons (18), Bowen Sandquist (15), and Luke Cadzow (12). Dillon Faubel scored 10 points off of the bench while playing 23 minutes filling the void of players saddled with foul trouble.
