[Men's Basketball] Olivet defeats TIU in mid-season CCAC action

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University's men's basketball team had one game left before the holiday break and made it an exciting one. The Tigers hosted Trinity International University (Ill.) on Saturday, Dec. 15 in one final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup in 2018. ONU took a five point lead into the half and managed to hold off a second half surge by the Trojans to improve to 4-3 in the conference with a 99-92 win.

The Tigers came out strong in the first half behind the scoring of Nic Reed (JR/New Albany, Ind.), who had 17 points in the first 20 minutes of play. The second half saw more success from the team, particularly from the free throw line, where they converted 23-of-27 attempts, while Reed put up another 17 points.
