[Men's Basketball] Valiant Comeback Effort Falls Just Short as Basketball Falls to Host PSU ...

Down by 13 at half and by as many as 12 late in the game, an undermanned Williamson squad put on a heroic comeback effort that feel just short, as they lost to host Penn State Mont Alto, 60-55 in the second round of the John Benchoff Tip-Off tournament.  Williamson lost to Penn State York in the opening round, 83-61.

Playing without two starters and having just seven players total, Williamson feel behind early against Mont Alto, and were down the entire game.  Anyone who was expecting them to quit was sadly mistaken, as they gave it all they had and managed to put a scare into the hosts before running out of gas at the end.

Vontangoe Donzo (FR/Darby, PA) had a game for the ages, as he had 22 points and an amazing 22 rebounds, to go with 5 blocked shots to lead Williamson.  Isaiah Schmidt (FR/Chester, PA), who missed Friday's game, had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Nazhir Goldston (SR/Pottsgrove PA) added 11 points and three rebounds for the Mechanics, who fell to 0-4.

On Friday night, Donzo led Williamson with 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks, while Gus Pagan (SR/Prospect Park, PA) and Goldston added 17 and 14 points, respectively.
