UK star is playing with screws in his GIANT CLUB broken hand

0 17

Normally two linebackers = four hands, but that’s not the case today.

Kentucky linebacker Kash Daniel is playing with a broken hand against Georgia. It’s one he’s been dealing with since the Wildcats’ win against Vanderbilt on Oct. 22.

Saturday in the unofficial SEC East title game against Georgia, CBS cameras captured Daniel’s club of a cast:

They also showed the x-ray of his left hand, which looks pretty brutal:

But wait, there’s more! Fellow linebacker Jordan Jones injured his hand in practice this past Wednesday, and is also wearing a club on his hand:

So yeah, you could say Kentucky’s hurting at linebacker.

After Kentucky’s game against Vanderbilt, Daniel knew immediately that the club would be the move:

“I’ll club it up and get ready to go, play next week.”

He also described its composition to CBS affiliate WYMT before their game against Missouri:

“All it is really is just a bunch of foam, with a cast underneath layers and layers of foam,” the Paintsville native said last week before the Wildcats’ game against Missouri. “I’ve played through broken ribs, hip pointers, back issues, I’ve played through about everything but with like this, a club, no I haven’t.”

Here’s another look at that nice piece of plaster, just days after having surgery on it:

Mark Stoops said that the cast impacted Daniel’s performance against Missouri last week, a game Kentucky narrowly won 15-14. But he also said it wasn’t going to stop him entirely:

“It did. It just is what it is. It bothers him. Those are good, strong, powerful guys, and he does not have the ability to grab and tackle and things like that. But, it is not going to slow him down,” Stoops said.

Daniel and Jones are going to have some serious cred with the grandkids when they see the photos of them playing with the clubs.
