Missed practices and trade rumors haven’t stopped Earl Thomas from making ridiculous interceptions
Wow ...
Earl Thomas had a tumultuous week, but on Sunday he didn’t show it.

What a pick!

Thomas pulled off one of the best interceptions you’ll see all week when he caught a bobbled pass off his own dang ankle and somehow managed to keep it off the ground. Want an idea of how close this was? Really, really close ...

Thomas had another ridiculous interception when he caught a pass that bobbled off the hands of Cowboys tight end Geoff Swaim.
ANOTHER pick by @earl_thomas!

So this is what happens when you don’t practice after trade rumors, get threatened with a fine and have everyone talking about where you’ll end up.
Thomas missed all of training camp and preseason while angling for a new contract, but he didn’t get one. He didn’t hide the fact that he was pissed and now he may be in trouble for reportedly blowing off practices.
He’s playing anyway, and he has a lot to prove — especially with the Cowboys on the opposite sideline.
A year ago, Thomas marched over to the Cowboys’ locker room to tell the team to trade for him after a December game between Dallas and Seattle. The Cowboys reportedly gave it a shot multiple times in the 2018 offseason, but the Seahawks weren’t willing to part with the safety.
So here’s Thomas, making the Cowboys wish they had him intercepting Russell Wilson instead of Dak Prescott.
Dallas isn’t the only team that could use Thomas’ help — the Chiefs are the latest to have reported interested — but the Cowboys have seemed like the likeliest landing spot all along. His latest highlight probably made one heck of an impression on the Cowboys.
