Watch the 95th minute golazo that kept Germany’s World Cup dreams alive

0

They were almost toast.

Germany beat Sweden in the final minute of its World Cup group stage matchup, keeping the team’s knockout stage hopes alive. Toni Kroos bent the perfect strike through the net just when it seemed like this one would end in a draw, firing his team to a 2-1 victory.

The final few minutes of this game were chaotic as Germany played a man down, but didn’t look fazed. A header nearly went down until Sweden goalkeeper Robin Olsen had the save of the evening, and another strike hit the goalpost.

It was a matter of time and if the Germans had enough of it.

Finally, in the 94th minute, Kroos struck the game-decider, and Germany’s World Cup hopes are suddenly alive and well again.
