In the city’s defense it’s not like anyone expected a fan to climb a pole three games into a Stanley Cup Final series. That said, Caps fans have waited long enough. Let them have their fun — especially considering this dude did pullups while he was up there.

According to Capitals blog Russian Machine Never Breaks, the fan was quickly arrested:
“After a few minutes of sitting on the lights 25 feet off the ground and leading chants, the climber decided to finally slide back down to the ground — into the waiting hands of two police officers. The climber was immediately arrested upon hitting the ground, probably to dissuade others from trying the same thing.”
If the Capitals pull this off it’s going to be a nightmare.
