How to livestream the NBA Draft Lottery

0

The 2018 NBA Draft Lottery will reveal the order of the top 14 picks in the draft on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET ahead of the Cavaliers and Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 2. The Phoenix Suns have the top odds to land the No. 1 pick, followed by the Grizzlies, Mavericks, Hawks and Magic.

The lottery determines the top three picks in the draft by selecting ping pong balls, which match to corresponding numbers allotted to teams based on won-loss record from the regular season. The team with the most losses — the Suns — has the most ping pong ball opportunities to land the top pick. After the top three selections are chosen, the rest of the lottery is filled in based on record with the winningest team remaining selecting No. 14.

The ping pong ball selections are all done off camera, and Tuesday is just the big reveal.

The top prize of this draft is Slovenian guard Luka Doncic, who is currently the teenage star with Real Madrid in the EuroLeague and Liga ACB. This kid is the real deal, who is poised to control any tempo offense, shoot from distance, find the open man and defend multiple positions.

Other prized prospects in this draft include Arizona big Deandre Ayton, Oklahoma sharpshooter Trae Young, versatile wing Michael Porter Jr. from Missouri, shot-blocking big Jaren Jackson Jr. from Michigan State and Texas’ long-armed anchor defenseman Mo Bamba.
