Joel Embiid dunked so hard on Aron Baynes and you need to see it
OH MY GOD
We know Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are going to be one of the best dynamic duos in the league for years to come. But if the world needed any more proof, the pair of Sixers stars showed how dominant they can be with one play in the second quarter of Game 3 against the Celtics that sent the Wells Fargo Center into a frenzy.
Simmons got out in the open court with 2:45 left in the second quarter and Embiid was trailing him. So the presumptive Rookie of the Year pulled off a gorgeous, no-look, behind-the-back pass to the trailer, who threw down a nasty, one-handed dunk all over Aron Baynes.
Here’s the play that will be revisited and replayed all day long.

That’s a play that’ll almost certainly rank No. 1 on SportsCenter’s Top 10 later tonight. It’s also one that set Twitter on fire.

Embiid and Simmons have teamed up for quite a few incredible plays in their first season together, but this one is by far the best of the year. The 76ers are down, 0-2, to the Celtics in this second-round matchup. Maybe this dunk was what they needed to come alive.
