Celtics vs. 76ers Game 3 updates & highlights
The Philadelphia 76ers are back home and looking to make a series out of their second-round matchup against the Boston Celtics with Game 3 on Saturday evening at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (5 p.m. ET, ESPN).
It looked for a while on Thursday night that this series would be tied after the first two games in Boston, with the 76ers holding a 22-point lead in the second quarter of Game 2. But that advantage quickly evaporated, with the Celtics getting 20 points, seven rebounds and nine assists from Terry Rozier in a five-point win.
“Coach was saying whoever is the tougher team is going to win,” Rozier told the Associated Press. “They definitely punched us in the mouth at the beginning of the game. We just had to bounce back and get things together.”
Jayson Tatum led Boston with 21 points in the win.
With a 2-0 series lead Boston is in a spot that has been historically great for them in the playoffs, and not so hot for Philadelphia.
