Manu Ginobili had a special fourth quarter in what might be his final home game

0

We hope he plays forever, though.

You can credit Manu Ginobili with the San Antonio Spurs winning Game 4 and extending their first round series against the Golden State Warriors in a 103-90 win. The 40-year-old is eternal, and he’s still playing the same old game we’ve been watching for two decades now.

On Sunday, in 25 minutes, Ginobili put up 16 points and five assists on 5-of-10 shooting. He was a plus-16 when on the court, second-best in the game. Here’s one of his three shots from deep.

And more classic Manu wizardry right here.

And what even is this shot?

We don’t know if Ginobili will return for another season next year, but Spurs fans gave him a proper sendoff if this is indeed it, chanting his name throughout the fourth quarter.

Steve Kerr used to play with Ginobili, a long time ago. He’s thrilled for his former teammate, even if Ginobili’s performance means his team will have to play at least more game in the first round.

Ginobili also rose one more spot on the list of made postseason threes, passing Reggie Miller.

Since you’re here, it seems like a good time to check out this video from the NBA released today, celebrating all of Ginobili’s best ball fakes and on-court trickery. Ginobili truly is a unique player and we should take every opportunity to keep celebrating him.
