Yes, that’s Drummond poking the ball free from Kemba Walker, and then flipping the basketball behind his back like he’s a natural, totally shaking off a still shocked Walker. And then it’s Drummond easily sliding past Marvin Williams with nothing more than a slight hesitation, because Williams had no clue a center could function anything like a guard in a fast break. You can’t blame him! Marvin plays with Dwight Howard, you know.

This has been a skillful year for Drummond, with highlights including:

• Easily knocking down his first three during the NBA All-Star Skills Competition (even if he lost)
• Improving his free throw shooting from 39 percent last season to 63 percent this year
• Increasing his 1.1 assists per game last season to 3.6 assists per game this year, which might be even more impressive

Anyway, the point is that in three more years, at this same rate of improving, Drummond will be the lead ball handler somewhere hitting 42 percent behind the arc. Don’t say I didn’t tell you.
