How to watch team figure skating continue at the Winter Olympics on Saturday
These top-notch figure skaters will continue the team competition Saturday.
The 2018 Winter Olympics' skating disciplines will continue on Saturday in Pyeongchang, South Korea. On Thursday (Friday local time), you saw the pairs and men's short programs during team competition. On Saturday, fans can watch the short dance, women’s short program, and pairs free skate as team competition continues. NBC (live stream) will broadcast these events. 8 p.m. ET. The Team short dance starts first. You can also watch using FuboTV on your PC or mobile devices.
Team USA had an up-and-down performance during the first day of competition. Nathan Chen stumbled a bit in his program, finishing fourth. He fell on the triple axel jump, which hurt his score. Figure skaters Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim performed well in the team pairs short program, and America finished in fourth place in that discipline. Overall, however, Team USA sits in second place in the team standings after Day 1 with 14 points, three behind Canada.
Team USA can redeem itself on Saturday with flawless skating. Even though Canada nearly dominated on Thursday, America has tons of young talent who could give the team a spark. Watch out for 18-year-old Karen Chen, who was a U.S. National Champion in 2017. Mirai Nagasu, 24, is also primed to make an impact for Team USA. She competed at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, so she has tons of experience performing on a big stage.
