Blake Bortles torched the Texans and Jadeveon Clowney still thinks he's 'trash'
To be fair, we can’t believe how well Bortles is playing, either.
Blake Bortles lit the Texans defense up in the Jaguars’ 45-7 beatdown of Houston on Sunday.
Head coach Bill O’Brien, quarterback T.J. Yates, and Jadeveon Clowney all used the words “embarrassed” or “embarrassing” to describe the uneven loss. But regardless of how the Texans played, Clowney didn’t have anything nice to say about Bortles’ performance.

Clowney was able to land three hits on Bortles. But it wasn’t enough to slow him down.
Bortles continued his phenomenal December by completing 21 of 29 passes for 326 yards, three touchdowns, and no picks. The Jaguars added 138 combined yards on the ground even though rookie Leonard Fournette was sidelined with a quad injury. Bortles has thrown for 903 yards, seven scores, and zero interceptions in the Jaguars’ three December games.
It’s been a tough road for the Texans. They lost rookie phenom Deshaun Watson in early November to a torn ACL he suffered in practice. Backup Tom Savage has a concussion, and T.J. Yates threw for 128 yards, a touchdown, and a pick.
The Jaguars improved to 10-4 and locked up their first postseason bid since the 2007 season with the win. The Texans have lost seven of their last eight games, and they fall to 4-10 with the loss.
