Derrick Rose out vs. Pelicans

0

Iman Shumpert will start in his place.

Derrick Rose will miss this fourth straight game when the Cavaliers face the Pelicans on Saturday. Rose hurt his ankle last Friday in the Cavs’ win against the Bucks. Iman Shumpert will start in his place and LeBron James will serve as the team’s point guard.

Dwyane Wade, who missed the Cavs’ game on Wednesday against the Nets, will play. He was dealing with a left knee contusion.

This is not what the Cavs were hoping for. With the team rolling out a new starting lineup that moves Jae Crowder to the bench, tonight was supposed to serve as the group’s debut. Rose could return tomorrow against the Knicks, so it could just be a short delay. But with the team already on its fourth starting lineup, one game isn’t ideal.

In other injury news, Anthony Davis will play for the Pelicans after missing New Orleans’ last two games with a left knee injury.
