USMNT vs. Trinidad & Tobago live stream: How to watch World Cup qualifier online
The Americans still have a little work left to do to make the World Cup.
The United States men’s national team got itself back into position to qualify for the 2018 World Cup with a win over Panama on Friday. But its work is not done, and the USMNT needs an away result against Trinidad and Tobago or some help to book its ticket to Russia 2018.
A win secures the USMNT’s place in the tournament, while a draw virtually does the trick — Panama would have to overcome a seven-goal differential to pass the USMNT in that situation. If the USMNT loses, it will only finish in the top three in CONCACAF if both Panama and Honduras fail to lose. T&T has been eliminated but still takes any home game against a top opponent very seriously.
The USMNT arrived at Ato Boldon Stadium on Monday to find it partially flooded and the pitch not yet playable. However, water has been pumped away from the pitch and it’s in good enough condition for the game to go forward as scheduled.
Bruce Arena will be happy that his team didn’t pick up any injuries or suspensions during the last match against Panama, and he has a full team to pick from against the Soca Warriors.
