Chiefs’ Travis Kelce took a knee during the national anthem
This is big.
Travis Kelce became the most prominent white NFL player to join in protests during the anthem when the Chiefs tight end kneeled before his game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The two-time Pro Bowler has not spoken publicly about whether he would participate in a protest before today, but his Twitter account has been voicing support for players protesting and the messages of others.
Dozens of players protested on Sunday, but a year ago when Colin Kaepernick began this movement, people asked how fans would react if a white star joined the movement. Now we will get to see.
