Brook Lopez Vs Marc Gasol March 6 Observation.

The Nets faced the Grizzlies on March 6th which can be viewed on NBAFULLHD.

Brook scored 8. Marc Gasol scored 18.....Grizzlies lost to the Nets who scored 122 points, the 2nd largest sum of points scored against the Grizzlies....The Nets are 30th in defense I believe?

On the surface it looks like Gasol beat up Lopez which is false. Lopez made Gasol look very foolish.

Gasol scored 2 3's in quarter 1 and Brook messed up by not contesting one of them. Along with a 2 Pointer....so 8 Points going 3/4 in the 1st Quarter......BROOK HELD GASOL TO ONLY 1 FG the Rest of the Game and Gasol ended with a horrendous 4/11 !! Which is around 36%. Gasol got his other points by going to the FT line 5 times of course some of those had nothing to do with Brook.... Gasol's inefficiency on Offense is what helped the Nets win. It wasn't a big reason but it is little things like that which really puts a team at a Disadvantage.

Brook on the other Hand went 3/6..... Which is much better which is probably why his +\- was +15 while Gasol had -16..... There are ignorant fans who will say Brook got Destroyed by Gasol but that's not the Case.

Obviously Gasol did Limit Lopez but Lopez didn't give anything to Marc which really helped the Nets.

A side note for all the ignorant people saying Brook Can't rebound. The reason Brook's Total Rebounds went down to 5.4 which is a drop of -2 is because he started shooting more 3's.....and then these people are putting out BS like "Brook is one if not the Worst rebounding Big Man in the Leauge" Something so simple that NBA Fans can't seem to grasp because like I've been saying since I've been here is "YOU DON'T WATCH THE GAMES".

Anyways if you watch the Game Brook is staying around the 3 PT line much more often and he had some oppurtunities to get great shots from 3 but the teammates just didn't decide to give it to him and who can blame em? Penetrating the defense so you can pass out to a 7 footer waiting to let it fly from 3? It sounds crazy but he is capable of knocking shots down from anywhere.

In conclusion Brook did what he had to do on defense and it was Good and without Brook the Nets won't be able to win games like these anymore. Brook kept everything together in the Frontcourt and now it is just going to Collapse. Gasol is a great defensive player but he won't be making the playoffs if he loses Allen And JAYMCHAL Green. Grizzlies already lost Randolph who had the highest Usage Rating and was a guy who could get you buckets in the clutch sort of like Chris Paul.Their offense isn't too nice either, It is like the Lakers situation except it is the complete opposite because the Grizzlies are going to have a new team and culture with those players gone but sadly they've lost a lot of important pieces which will lead to much less defense which is why I don't see them making the playoffs at all.

Next game I'm going to see is the double overtime Clippers vs Nets game in late November. Brook was the reason they lost the first meeting around early November in the first place because he was absent for that game and if you go and watch it Deandre Jordan seemed unstoppable and the Nets Got floored. Of course Griffin didn't play in the next meeting but the Nets had injuries to a big man and RHJ. FYI in this game you could see how Important Chris Paul was in the Clutch which is a huge loss for the Clippers.
