NBA ranking: Teams with the best point differential in league history (regular season and playoffs)

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished the regular season with the best point differential in NBA history and followed it up with a strong playoff run that culminated in a championship. However, it wasn’t a dominant postseason, which keeps them outside the Top 3 in combined regular season and playoff point differential. (Ironically, they might have ranked No. 1 had they lost to Denver in Game 7 of the second round.)
