[Women's Basketball] UAV Jumps Out to Fast Start in Cal Pac Play

Antelope Valley opened the first part of its California Pacific Conference schedule with five wins over the first six games—the only stumble was a 61-48 loss at Embry-Riddle on Dec. 9—which has allowed the Pioneers to keep pace with the other top teams in what looks like a heated race for the conference crown.  UAV, now 5-1 in the Cal Pac and 8-6 overall, is the in the middle of the race for the title with Simpson (6-1, 9-6) and Westcliff (5-1, 8-6), and UC Merced (5-2, 5-7).
