[Volleyball] USK Opens With Solid Showing at COI Tournament

Saint Katherine started its 2022 season with a strong showing at the competitive College of Idaho Tournament in Caldwell, Ida.  The Firebirds bounced back from an opening day loss to No. 23 SAGU (Tex.) to top Montana-Western 3-1.  Payton Spoja knocked down 15 kills and Addison Metts added 14 to power the offense, but that was just the start to an impressive offensive display from Metts.  She added 18 more kills in a four-set loss to No. 7 Corban and capped the weekend with 22 kills in a 3-1 win over host College of Idaho.
