[Men's Soccer] Cal Pac Teams Get Tied Up On First Weekend of 2022

Four of the seven matches in which California Pacific Conference squads competed over the opening weekend resulted in draws.  Soka played to a 1-1 tie against San Diego Christian and then battled No. 18 Vanguard to a 2-2 draw to start the season.  Saint Katherine also played SDCC to a draw, knotting the Hawks at 2-2.  Embry-Riddle, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, went on the road to Alabama to start its campaign, and the Eagles opened with a 1-1 tie at Thomas before falling 3-1 to Mobile, the No. 2 team in the country.
