KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - Cortez Cunningham of Madonna was named the NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 22, 2020. The sophomore played a part of three Crusader records at the Saginaw Valley State University Doug Hansen Open. Cunningham broke the MU record in the 200 meters with the second-fastest time in the NAIA of 21.56 (21.95 converted), broke the school record in the 60 meters with a first-place finish in a time of 6.96, and ran on the 4x400 meter relay team that set a program record with a time of 3:29.19.
