Fahey, of Randolph, N.J., served as graduate assistant at Providence College this past season. Maciariello has a close relationship with Providence head coach Ed Cooley.
Previously, Fahey served two years as an assistant at Division III FDU Florham and three seasons as head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J.
St. Benedict's had an 89-15 record during Fahey's time there and was ranked as high as eighth nationally.
