The Basketball Hall of Famer, who is leaving his job as an executive board member with the Warriors to take a similar role with the Los Angeles Clippers, told ESPN he is intrigued at the prospect of working for Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, whom he calls “a winner.”
The former Boston Celtics great who grew up in Oakland and led USF to two NCAA titles in the 1950s will be honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” during the first NBA Awards on June 26.
The Hall of Fame center and 11-time NBA champion with the Celtics won five NBA MVP awards (the NBA Finals MVP award is named for him).
