Australia qualify for WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026 by winning Oceania Qualifier
World No. 11 Australia won the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifier undefeated at the Dededo Sports Complex in Macheche, Guam. The Aussies defeated No. 62 Northern Mariana Islands 15-0, 17-2 and 25-3 and No. 30 Guam 9-0, 13-5 and 23-0.
Northern Mariana Islands finished second by winning the three games against Guam: 24-5, 22-15 and 18-2
Australia had the best pitching staff by far. They allowed only nine runs on 18 hits over six games, a 2.03 earned run average (ERA). They also had the best defence (six errors) and the best batting average (.471). Australia was the only team to go deep with five home runs.
Northern Mariana Islands showcased a respectable lineup, posting a team .345 batting average, but committed 28 defensive errors and allowed 58 earned runs, a 14.50 ERA.

Kayden Lizama (Northern Mariana Islands) was the tournament's leading hitter with a .600 batting average, and also led the Qualifier in on-base percentage (.636). Beau Stockdale (Australia) had the best slugging percentage (.813) and the most runs batted in (RBIs, 10).
Jet Creamer (Australia) pitched two games, one as the starter, and allowerd only a hit in six scoreless innings, while striking out ten.
Australia became the eighth team to qualify for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026:
- No. 18 Germany and No. 16 Czechia qualified through the U-15 European Championship
- No. 2 Chinese Taipei and No. 1 Japan qualified through the XII BFA U-15 Asian Championship
- No. 5 Venezuela won the South American Qualifier
- No. 9 Cuba won the WBSC Americas Caribbean Qualifier.
- No. 3 USA swept the WBSC Americas Central and North American Qualifier.
WBSC Americas will announce two more teams while one team from Africa, along with a wild card, will complete the field of 12 teams for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026.
