Phillies manager Rob Thomson finished in third place in the 2025 BBWAA National League Manager of the Year voting. Brewers manager Pat Murphy became the first NL manager since Bobby Cox in 2004-05 to win back-to-back MOY nods. The Reds’ Terry Francona finished in second place.

Thomson finished with one first-place vote, seven second-place votes and and six third-place votes for a total of 32 points. Murphy received 27 first-place votes and Francona received two first-place votes. Thomson appeared on 14 of 30 ballots.

Thomson, 62, led the Phillies to 96 wins and a second consecutive National League Division title. He’ll return as Phillies manager in 2026. The Phillies, as president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said in his end-of-season press conference, will look to add another year to his current deal that expires at the end of 2026.

In three plus years as Phillies manager, Thomson has a 346-251 record in the regular season.

Two other 2025 Phillies are up for BBWAA awards. Cristopher Sánchez is one of three NL Cy Young Award finalists. The winner will be revealed on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. ET on MLB Network. The winner of the 2025 NL MVP Award will be revealed a day later on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET. Kyle Schwarber is a finalist alongside Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto.
