Japan announce roster for WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026 Asia Qualifier
Manager Hirokazu Ibata announced Japan's roster for the 12th BFA U-15 Asian Championship, to be hosted by the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association from August 17 to 23 in Tainan. The tournament will qualify the top two teams for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026.
Ibata, who is also manager of Samurai Japan, the country's senior national baseball team, said the 18-player roster features athletes who are comfortable in multiple positions.

Ibata's staff will include Samurai Japan assistant coach Kazuyuki Yoshimi and two coaches specialised in the age bracket, Nobutaka Nagano and Reigen Kato.
World No. 1 Japan will face at the U-15 Asian Baseball Championship 2025 No. 2 Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Korea, No. 25 Philippines, No. 29 Hong Kong, No. 34 Thailand, No. 38 Pakistan and No. 51 Sri Lanka.
