What is a Rocker Switch?Rocker switches are commonly used as an on/off switch that rocks (rather than trips) when pressed, meaning the rocker opens or closes the circuit. So one side of the rocker switch is raised while the other side is depressed, much like a seesaw or rocking horse. It consists of a rectangular or square-shaped body with a hinged actuator (the “rocker”) that pivots around a central axis.
