Five days before the trade deadline, the Arizona Diamondbacks strike, dealing two prospects to the Miami Marlins for left-handed reliever A.J. Puk, according to multiple reports.

The defending National League champions will send first baseman Deyvison De Los Santos, the No. 6 prospect in their system, according to Baseball America, along with 17th ranked prospect Andrew Pintar, an outfielder, to Miami.

Puk, 29, was 4-8 with a 4.30 ERA and 1.34 WHIP for Miami, striking out 45 in 44 innings in 32 appearances (four starts). Puk has been fantastic since moving to the pen, with a 2.08 ERA and holding opponents to a .456 OPS in 30 1/3 innings.

De Los Santos has slashed .325/.376/.635 with 28 homers in 374 plate appearances combined at Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno.

Pintar has hit .285/.384/.468 in 309 plate appearances across three levels, the highest being Amarillo, where he has played 10 games. He is 19-for-20 stealing bases.
