[Men's Wrestling] Two Wins Lifts Boldmaa to GPAC Wrestling Honor
Doane wrestler Baagii Boldmaa (SR/Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) has been named this week's GPAC Wrestler of the Week for his efforts during the week of November 21-27.
Boldmaa, ranked No. 1 at 141, went 2-0 at the GPAC Duals as he helped the Tigers defeat Northwestern and Briar Cliff to start conference action. His two wins extended his winning streak to 81 straight, the top active streak in all of men's college wrestling.
The night started with a victory by pin in 4:28 over Northwestern's Jonny Burnettee. He held a 20-6 lead at the time of the pin. In his second match, he defeated Ethan Krey of Briar Cliff in 5:19 with a 24-9 tech fall victory.
During his time at Doane, Boldmaa is 94-2 all-time. This is the seventh time that Boldmaa has received GPAC Wrestler of the Week honors and first this season.
