With St. Ambrose dominating the paint all season, it was the Bee guards who stole the spotlight Wednesday. Anna Plumer, Shayne Smith and Maddy Cash combined for 42 points to lead SAU to a 67-53 win at Indiana Northwest.

The victory was win No. 20 for the Bees (20-1, 13-1 CCAC) and moved their winning streak to 14, the program's longest since a 20-game stretch in 2013-14.

With the game tied at 14-14 after one, St. Ambrose turned the tide Wednesday in the second quarter behind its defense.

Despite shooting just 5-of-17 from the field themselves, the Bees outscored the RedHawks 15-7 in the period. IU Northwest (13-7, 8-5 CCAC) hit just 3-of-15 from the floor as SAU built a 29-21 halftime lead.

St. Ambrose regained its shooting stroke to pull away in the third. Plumer, Smith and Cash combined to hit on all eight of their field-goal attempts, including three from beyond the arc, as part of a 10-of-14 effort overall from the Bees. That built a 53-32 advantage entering the final frame as SAU coasted to the win.

Plumer knocked down four 3-pointers for the third game in a row to lead St. Ambrose with 18 points. She finished 4-of-6 from deep.

Smith dropped in 13 points and Cash netted 11 to go along with five assists and four steals.

Reigning NAIA National Player of the Week Kylie Wroblewski registered nine points, eight rebounds and three steals. Jaynee Prestegaard finished with nine points and six boards.

Madeline Prestegaard (four points), Halle Ciesielczyk (two) and Abby Lundquist (one) combined for seven points off the bench. Lundquist also picked up three rebounds.

The win sets up a home game Saturday against Trinity Christian, a team that handed St. Ambrose its lone loss two months ago (82-78 back on Nov. 20). Tip-off from Lee Lohman Arena is scheduled for 1 p.m. It will be the first of three straight home games for the Bees.
