The Dodgers stayed alive in dominating fashion on Thursday, scoring 11 unanswered runs after falling behind 2-0 in the first inning. With the 11-2 victory, they still trail the series 3-2.

They now head back to Atlanta. The Braves are looking to keep history from repeating itself, as they also led last year’s NLCS 3-1 over the Dodgers. Los Angeles, of course, went on to win the World Series.

The Dodgers originally planned on Max Scherzer pitching today’s game on full rest with Walker Buehler lined up for a potential Game 7. But Scherzer was scratched on Friday, citing a dead arm that he wasn’t able to fully recover from. The Dodgers announced earlier on Saturday that Buehler would be pushed up a day for Game 6. If the Dodgers extend the series, there’s still a chance Scherzer could be okay for Game 7. But it remains to be seen.

The Braves, meanwhile, will be sending Ian Anderson to the hill. Anderson has a 1.35 ERA in 26 2/3 career postseason innings. He was shaky in Game 2 of this series, giving up two runs in the first inning. He ended up making it through three innings with three walks and three hits allowed. The Braves won that game 6-5.
