• A seven-run ninth inning for the Houston Astros quiets the crowd at Fenway Park as the Astros secure a 9-2 win over the Boston Red Sox to tie the ALCS at 2-2.
• The Los Angeles Dodgers take game three of the NLCS, powered by Cody Bellinger’s game-tying three-run home run that led to a the team’s 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves, bringing the Dodgers within one game of the Braves.

• New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone has signed a new three-year contract with the team that includes a club option for 2025. His previous contract was set to expire after the 2021 postseason, although the Yankees exited earlier than predicted.
• Although not on the Red Sox’s postseason roster due to ineligibility, shortstop Jose Iglesias has been the team’s biggest supporter during their playoff run. He still goes through his pregame routines before every single game, and has essentially filled the role of a coach.
