Taj Bradley may be the biggest riser in the organization in 2021.

Who were some of the organization’s top performers in July? After his major league debut, Vidal Brujan has been very good since being optioned back to Durham, splitting time between second base, left field, and center field. In 50 plate appearances, he’s batting .405 with a .500 on-base percentage and .548 slugging percentage. He has six steals in eight tries with eight walks and just three strikeouts.

In 75 July plate appearances, Charleston’s Garrett Hiott batted .383/.507/.633 with three homers, seven extra-base hits, and six steals in eight tries.

On the mound, Taj Bradley’s breakout season in Charleston continued. In 25 innings, he allowed just two runs with a 28.7% strikeout rate and 8% walk rate. John Doxakis has adjusted to his new level with 30 strikeouts and just four walks in 29 innings with a 2.48 ERA.

Jacob Lopez’s strong season has continued, and he earned a promotion to Double A. Across two levels in July, he had a 2.16 ERA in 25 innings with a 37:3 K:BB ratio.
