JC Keys - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 4 K

Louisville Bats 0, Iowa Cubs 2

Hunter “Soylent” Greene took the start and put up a line that we’re growing a bit accustomed to (6 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K). Greene seems to be falling into a trend where he gives up a run here or there, limits his walks, while getting his strikeouts. It was nice to see him limit the dingers in this one. Tim “Ablebody” Adleman struck out one in a shutout inning and so did Cionel “Cyanide” Perez. Jose “Oh Eh Oh” Barrero went 2 for 4 with a stolen base.

Chattanooga Lookouts 1, Tennessee Smokies 2

Nick “FOMO” Lodolo didn’t have the best stuff we’ve seen this year but he wasn’t terrible. Lodolo gave up two earned runs over four innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out six. Wynne, Roxby, Baker, and Lopez all pitched a shutout inning from the pen. “The First” Yoel Yanqui went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.

Dayton Dragons 4, Lake County Captains 1

JC “Hammer” Keys pitched five shutout innings for Dragons last night. He allowed only two hits over those innings with three walks and four strikeouts. Andy “King” Fisher tossed two scoreless with a strikeout from the pen, and “Sticky” Ricky Karcher struck out the side to pick up the save. James “Born” Free doubled twice and scored a run in four at bats.

In game one, Jason “Peter” Parker didn’t look terrible but also got his team behind the eight ball. He gave up three earned over four innings but only gave up two hits, two walks, while striking out six. “Prince” Alberto Gonzalez struck out three in two scoreless for the pen, and Wes “Craven” Robertson struck out one in a scoreless inning to pick up the save. Austin “Power” Hendrick walked three times and scored a run, Allan “Ferda” Cerda doubled, walked, drove in a run, and scored twice, and Austin “Trout” Creal singled in a run, walked twice, and scored. In game two, James “Red Sauce” Marinan took the mound and was decent enough. He allowed two earned over five innings on two hits, three walks, while striking out two. Cerda doubled in the only run.

Notes: It was made official the Reds signed their 11th round pick, Shawn Guilliams, yesterday. That officially means the Reds signed every single one of their draft picks.
