Kris Bryant appears to be heading to the San Francisco Giants, per report
Well, things have definitely taken a turn.
With all of the action in the National League West at the trade deadline this year between the Dodgers and Padres going wild as buyers and the Diamondbacks and Rockies...well, at least they tried, it is easy to forget that the leaders of that division are actually the San Francisco Giants.
The Giants had been pretty quiet up until this point, but it appears as though that they made a splash of their own in the closing minutes of the trade deadline.

For a team that has been pretty reliant on pitching and Buster Posey turning back the clock at the plate for their run so far, this is a pretty big deal. Bryant immediately gives a significant boost to the Giants offense. While the fit for the Giants was undeniable, Bryant was a very popular name on the trade market. With the prices that we have seen with trades at the deadline this year and all of the suitors, it will be quite interesting to see what the Cubs managed to get in return for Bryant as a rental.
