Kyrie Irving Ruled out Wednesday

0 5

Malika Andrews reports Kyrie Irving will sit out of Wednesday’s matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs due to an injury to his face.

Irving suffered the injury during a 115-107 win against the Chicago Bulls Tuesday night. Irving played 20 minutes, scoring 13 points, three rebounds and five assists.

He left the game in the third quarter after an inadvertent elbow from Nikola Vucevic.

A key playmaker for the Nets, Iriving has started 52 games this season, averaging 35 minutes, 27 points, five rebounds and six assists per game.

James Harden, who is probable to play tonight, could see a larger role with Irving out of the rotation. Priced at $9,200 on FanDuel, Harden is scheduled to make his return to the rotation after missing the last 18 games due to a hamstring injury. As a member of the Nets, he has averaged 37 minutes, 25 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists per game, starting in 34 games.

The Nets are a 4.5-points home favorite against the San Antonio Spurs on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 232.5 total.
