The Chiefs decided to move on from Fisher this offseason, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. That means Fisher was looking for a new home, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that he’s found one with the Colts. They’ve reportedly agreed to a one-year deal worth $9.4M, and he will presumably serve as the left tackle for new quarterback Carson Wentz.
Despite being released by the Chiefs, Fisher is coming off one of the best seasons of his career. He earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 80.1, which ranked 16th at the tackle position in 2020. It was also the best grade he’s ever earned from PFF. He ranked 30th out of 81 qualified tackles in 2019 and 23rd out of 80 qualifiers in 2019. That makes Fisher a solid addition for a Colts’ offensive line that was already pretty good last season.
The Colts are currently listed at +2500 to win Super Bowl LVI on FanDuel Sportsbook.
