Lonzo Ball Ruled Out Wednesday

0 3

Steve Popper of Newsday Sports reports Lonzo Ball will miss Wednesday’s matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks due to a lingering hip injury.

Ball last played in the Pelicans Apr. 7 139-111 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, playing 28 minutes, scoring 15 points and three assists. He missed seven games in March due to the injury as well. Ball has started 41 games this season, averaging 32 minutes, 14 points, four rebounds, and six assists per game.

Expect Zion Williamson to see an uptick in production with Ball missing time tonight. In 768 minutes this season with Ball off the court, Williamson has a 32.6% usage rate and averages 1.38 fantasy points per minute. Priced at $10,100 on FanDuel, Williamson has averaged 33 minutes, scoring 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game, starting in 49 games for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans are a 2.5-point home favorite against the New York Knicks on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 219 total.
