Outfielder Michael Conforto was drilled with a 100 mph fastball from left-hander Jose Alvarado during game one of the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at Citi Field.

Conforto remained in the game and finished the afternoon 0-for-2 with a pair of walks, but was not in the starting lineup for Game 2 against Aaron Nola.

The sweet-swinging lefty went for x-ray’s on his right wrist, which came back negative. It is expected Conforto will be day-to-day, but we will wait to see what Mets manager Luis Rojas says following game two on Tuesday night.
