[Volleyball] Falcon Drop 3-0 Decision at McPherson

McPHERSON, Kan. -- The Friends University Falcons were tripped up 3-0 in a KCAC outing against the McPherson College Bulldogs Saturday in McPherson, Kan.

The Bulldogs started the match strong as they grabbed a 17-6 lead in the opening game, but kills by Tiffany Hurd (SR/Gilbert, Ariz.) and MaKenzie Glasse helped the Falcons cut the deficit to 20-13. 

Trailing 24-15, the Falcons scored the next four points, but McPherson came away with the 25-19 set victory.

In the second set, again, the Bulldogs took the lead early. This time the Falcons had no response, dropping the set 25-17.

The Bulldogs went on to claim the match with a 25-16 win in the third set.

Hurd led the Falcons with six kills while Rheagan Hoover (SO/Pratt, Kan. ) added five kills and Glasse and Sarah Lazar-St. John (JR/Rose Hill, Kan. ) provided four kills apiece. Abigail Knittel (SR/Ponca City, Okla. ) finished with 22 assists, one kill, and an ace. Alyssa Arnold (SR/Goddard, Kan. ) had 13 digs to anchor the defense.

Aidan Brown paced the Bulldogs with a game-high 18 kills, with Katelyn Moore chipping in 10 kills. Cynarah Rodriguez tallied a match-high 37 assists.
