Morning Mound Visit: Cleveland knew of Mickey Callaway’s behavior

World Series Game 6: Chicago Cubs v Cleveland Indians

The worst-kept secret in baseball; JBJ is still available; a new way to award pitcher wins

Brittany Ghiroli and Katie Strang | The Athletic $: Recently, multiple women came forward with allegations against Mickey Callaway for lewd behavior. Much of this inappropriate conduct came when Callaway was pitching coach for Cleveland and team president Chris Antonetti originally claimed that a February report at The Athletic was the first he had heard of the allegations, but that is a lie.

Jay Jaffe | FanGraphs: Jackie Bradley Jr. is still available and plenty of teams could use his stellar defense in center field. Several contending teams currently plan to trot out replacement-level options at the premium outfield position, and Bradly would go a long way toward solving their problems.

Rob Mains | Baseball Prospectus $: Pitcher wins are nonsense, and it doesn’t need to be explained why. The idea behind pitcher wins is fine though, and perhaps there should be a way to award the pitcher who helped their team win the most. Giving a win to the pitcher who compiled the most WPA makes the most sense and Rob Mains has done that for the last five seasons.
