LaMarcus Aldridge Will Play Wednesday vs. Thunder

0 1

The Spurs will be shorthanded tonight, but they will at least have Aldridge back in the lineup. He’s missed each of their past six games, and that number would have been even higher if not for some recent postponements due to COVID-19. His return comes at the perfect time since DeMar DeRozan is out for personal reasons, and five other players are sidelined due to health and safety protocols.

It’s unclear how limited Aldridge will be in his first game back, but he was already being used more sparingly than last season. He’s averaged just 26.7 minutes through his first 18 games after averaging 33.1 last year. His fantasy production is also down to just 25.11 FanDuel points per game.

That said, Aldridge figures to carry a higher usage rate when he’s on the court vs. the Thunder. The Spurs will be without three of their four highest-usage players with DeRozan, Derrick White, and Rudy Gay out of the lineup. Aldridge and Dejounte Murray figure to be the Spurs’ primary offensive options on Wednesday, making them appealing targets on FanDuel.
