Good Morning, Mets fans! Major League Baseball’s tender deadline came and went on Wednesday night and a slew of moves were made around the league.

As expected, the Mets tendered left-handed pitcher Steven Matz despite his nightmare 2020 season. They also tendered reliever Robert Gsellman and shortstop Amed Rosario.

Despite a solid 2020 campaign, the Mets non-tendered left-handed reliever Chasen Shreve, per Fansided’s Robert Murray. They also chose to non-tender pitchers: Paul Sewald, Nick Tropeano, and Ariel Jurado, tweet from The Record’s Justin Toscano.

Dominic Smith joined Steve Gelbs on SNY last night to discuss his first impressions of owner Steve Cohen. Gelbs also brought up the pinch-hit home run Smith smacked off of new teammate Trevor May back in 2019.

Speaking of May, Jeff Passan of ESPN reported that the relief pitcher’s new deal with the Mets is for two-years, $15 million with $250,000 in yearly performance bonuses.

The New York Yankees officially tendered catcher Gary Sanchez (on his birthday), per MLB Insider Jon Heyman. They also agreed to terms on one-year contracts with pitchers Luis Cessa and Ben Heller to avoid arbitration, while non-tendering Jonathan Holder, per club announcement.

The Atlanta Braves decided to non-tender 32-year-old outfielder Adam Duvall, who hit 16 homers for them in 59 games last season, per Passan.

The Philadelphia Phillies settled at $1.1 million with catcher Andrew Knapp, per Heyman.
