Peoples Bank Foundation Presents Gift to Alice Lloyd College  

On Tuesday, November 24, Peoples Bank Foundation presented a $5,000 gift to Alice Lloyd College to support the Appalachian Leaders Scholarship Program. Peoples Bank, formerly First Commonwealth Bank, has been a friend to the college for many years.  

Alice Lloyd College has been providing a tuition-guarantee to students in the central Appalachian region for nearly 100 years. Doing so means that qualified students pay nothing out-of-pocket for the cost of their education. Without wonderful friends, like Peoples Bank, this endeavor would not be possible.  

Anissa Beasley and Chelsea Wright of Peoples Bank were pleased to present the gift to ALC. Dr. Jim Stepp, Executive Vice President said, “We are grateful to Peoples Bank for their generous partnership. Their support will help provide an opportunity for hardworking mountain students.”
