Morning Briefing: Rays Tie Up World Series With Wild Walk-Off

0 6

Good Morning, Mets fans!

On Saturday, the Rays won a wild back-and-forth contest against the Dodgers by a score of 8-7. Brett Phillips collected the walk-off and game-tying hit, driving in Kevin Kiermaier and Randy Arozarena thanks to a single and an error from Chris Taylor.

John Curtiss received the win after pitching an inning and one-thirds, allowing just two hits in the outing. Kenley Jansen collected the loss and blew his fourth World Series blown save, the most by any closer in MLB history.

Game five of the World Series is today at 8:08 EST. Clayton Kershaw will face off against Tyler Glasnow. The game can be seen on FOX.
